PASSION PROJECT STRUCTURE
Task: you are to choose a culture of your choice
and follow the passion project cycle.

Design Brief
§
Your
client has not had exposure to the culture you are investigating. They want to know a few things (listed above), and are wondering what art inspired by your chosen culture
might look like.
§
Your
client would like to see three final pieces of quality art. They also want to see how you have made
connections between this art and your chosen culture; also how you progressed
from your first attempt to your final submission.
§
They want
to see a range of techniques used within the final artworks.
§
Your
client wants to see evidence from the approaches seen within your classroom:
Problem
solving (List solutions, predict, design a better... etc.)
Creative
thinking (How is... different to ...? Invent a game, a story, about... etc.)
Critical
thinking (Decide, compare, Contrast, calculate, etc.)
§
Things
to consider are:
Medium of
both the final portfolio and the artwork (Photography, painting, sketching, mixed
media, scrapbooking, ICT, printmaking, rubbings, collage).
Influence/style:
Tessellations, abstract, portrait, artists, modern/traditional.
Use of
colour.
Making
connections between words and art in the portfolio.
What
information to include in the portfolio.
Reflecting on
and justifying the art.
Meaning (of your
own art and of the symbols within the target culture).
Present as a portfolio.
