Latest feedback for our young leaders...go Y7&8!!

Hi Jackie,

I just wanted to send you a quick email to let you know how impressed we were with the senior leaders you had at the ends of the pool last week.  It was so lovely to watch these young adults showing care, kindness and encouragement to their younger peers.  What fine young role models they were.  Unfortunately I don't know the names of all the students, but Milly is one I do know.  We just loved the way she encouraged her team in the house relay and dived in to support the unconfident swimmers.

Please pass on ours thanks to them all.  We really hope one day our children will be great role models for the younger members of the school like these students were.

Kind regards

Jacqui Brown

Water Inquiry brief

·       Water, water everywhere – can you list the different types?

·       How does water get into our taps?  Rivers? Oceans?

·       How much water are we using?

·       What is our water future? What is your water action?

An emphasis is placed on the following values: ecological sustainability, innovation, curiosity, inquiry, equity, community and participation.

Developing connectedness, experiences, reflection, knowledge, a vision of a sustainable future and action taking for responsibility.

Look into tap water, wetlands, streams/rivers and marine water.

You will…
1.     Follow the inquiry process – showing what your fat question is.
2.     Gather a range of research and notes all recorded in your stuff book.
3.     Draft your notes into paragraphs (in your stuff book)
4.     Show revising and editing of your work (green pen or otherwise)
5.     Map out a “story board” to show how you will pull it together to present.
6.     Publish and present (whatever way you choose).

I will be following the rubric as used before in the last 2 inquiries. Have fun!
